The unofficial election returns for the May 14, 2011 General Election are as follows:

Travis County will release the final count on Monday, May 23, 2011. The Manor City Council will meet on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 to canvass the votes.

Manor 2010 Population 5,037

The U.S. Census Bureau announced Saturday that the 2010 census counted 5,037 people living in Manor. The count was conducted in April 2010.

The population is made of 2,395 (47.4%) Hispanic residents, 1,389 (27.5%) Black or African-American residents and 1,253 (24.9%) residents of all other races.

At the time of the count, there were 1,654 housing units in Manor with 126 vacancies.

The 2000 census count was 1,240.

Spring Bulk Trash Day March 12th

Manor's spring bulk trash pickup day will be on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Items to be picked up should be placed at the curb or adjacent to the street no earlier than March 10, 2011, following the regular Wednesday trash pickup. Residences are limited to a maximum of 4 cubic yards of trash (approximately 4 trash carts). All bulk trash must be curbside by 7:00am. No late runs will be made. Pickups will be made in old Manor, ShadowGlen, Wildhorse Creen, Hamilton Point, Stonewater, Greenbury, Bell Farms and Carriage Hills sub.

 

Filing begins February 12th for City Elections

The Manor City Council election will be held on May 14, 2011.  Council positions 1, 3, and 5 and the mayor's seat are up for election this year.  The council is slated to call the election at its next meeting. (Places 2, 4 and 6 will be up for election in 2012).

Under Texas law candidates may begin filing for a place on the ballot  on February 12th however, that date falls on a Saturday and city offices will not be open to accept the applications until Monday, February 14th.  The last date to file is Monday, March 14th at 5:00 p.m.

Offices Close Due To Snow!!!

Manor City offices will be closed on Friday February 4, 2011 due to snow and travel conditions.  Offices will reopen on Monday, February 7th at 8:00 am.
